Data Provider Integration & Credit Risk Scorecards for DACH Expansion
Built a scalable data and risk setup for DACH expansion, from external company data integration and country-specific credit risk scorecards to stable production operations.
I led this initiative end-to-end across data engineering, data science, analytics, and product to make expansion into new DACH markets technically and operationally robust. I evaluated external data sources for fit, quality, and regulatory alignment, then established production data flows to fetch, normalize, and enrich company data via APIs with Airflow-based orchestration. In parallel, I introduced data quality checks and standardization, developed country-specific scorecards with calibration and backtesting, and adapted the frontend per market to support new data and workflows. Across pilot, soft launch, and hard launch, I owned rollout, monitoring, and incident management, creating an auditable data foundation for reliable decisions and repeatable growth initiatives. The project went through the following phases:
- Design, staffing, and delivery planning including risk and change management
- Evaluation of external data sources for suitability, quality, and regulatory fit
- Production API data flows with normalization, enrichment, and Airflow orchestration
- Data quality controls and standardization across markets
- Design, calibration, and backtesting of country-specific credit risk scorecards
- Country-specific frontend adaptations for new data and product requirements
- Pilot, soft-launch, hard-launch, plus monitoring and continuous optimization
